The installation of Mark Shields as Provincial Grand Master and Grand Superintendent of Cambridgeshire marked a significant and memorable occasion, conducted with dignity, warmth, and a strong sense of tradition.

Mark was invested by the Pro Grand Master and Pro First Grand Principal, Jonathan Spence, supported by a distinguished team from United Grand Lodge of England and Supreme Grand Chapter.
Adding a deeply personal dimension to the day, Mark was originally proposed into Freemasonry by his father, Robert — a moment of great pride shared between them.
The occasion was further enriched by the presence of many members of The Masonic Order of Athelstan, alongside visitors who had travelled from across England and Wales. Their attendance, together with messages of support received from around the world, reflected the strength of connection and goodwill that exists across the Order.
For the Province of East Anglia, the strong representation from The Masonic Order of Athelstan was especially meaningful, highlighting the enduring bonds of friendship and fraternity that unite Brethren across Provinces and beyond.
Mark was both delighted and truly humbled by the support shown on the day and extends his sincere thanks to all who contributed to making the occasion so special.
